We are searching for a talented Applications Engineer to join the Bycast team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Create solutions for customers and partners based on the StorageGRID software and third-party software and hardware components
• Validate Bycast products on new hardware platforms
• Develop deep technical knowledge around the capabilities, limitations, and performance and scalability characteristics of Bycast products
• Lead and implement proof-of-concept deployments to successful conclusion
• Travel to customer sites as needed to identify requirements and implement proof-of-concept deployments

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
• Minimum 2 years experience in software development or applications engineering

• Passion for excellence with an exceptional work ethic

• Enterprise server hardware from top-tier vendors (HP, IBM, and Dell)
• Enterprise storage such as SAN, NAS, HSM, and tape

• Microsoft Windows Active Directory
• Database administration including SQL
• Networking (routers, switches, OSPF, SNMP, and Wireshark)
• Distributed, cloud, or SaaS computing
• Scripting languages (Ruby and Bash)
